COSMETIC DERMATOLOGY There are many exciting advantages in Dermatology that can help you look and feel better about your skin. I have highlighted below some of the cosmetic procedures that may be able to help you. Treatment of Facial Blood Vessels: These appear either as red lines or background redness. Among other treatment methods I can use state of the art vascular lasers to treat these unwanted vessels. The procedure is quick, comfortable, and effective. Please see pictures.   Before and after pictures of blood vessels treated by laser.* Treatment of Red Spots ( or Hemangiomas) on the body: These red vascular areas are easy to treat with our lasers. Treatment of Leg Vessels: Dilated leg vessels may be treated by injecting a liquid that causes the blood vessel lining to shrink and either go away or become less noticeable. By using a very thin needle and being gentle, this procedure is generally tolerated well. Chemical Peels: Can be used to improve a wide variety of skin conditions such as fine wrinkles, acne scarring, dull appearing skin, sun and age spots, and skin discoloration or pigmentation. If these conditions bother you I can perform a chemical peel to help you. Pigmented or Dark Spots: We have many ways of helping you with this problem, from specially prepared bleaching creams to office procedure using chemical peels, lasers, (for certain lesions only), and liquid nitrogen. Before and after laser (for certain lesions only) treatment of lentigines/freckles.* Botox is a straightforward way to help improve wrinkles, particularly on the forehead or beside the eyes (the "crows feet" area). The procedure is simple, convenient, and done in the office. Wrinkles can be treated by a variety of methods including use of botox and peels.
